We would like to thank Lechlade Town Council for purchasing commemorative bookmarks and wildflower seed packs to mark the occasion of the Coronation of King Charles III and gifting them to the children of St Lawrence School
In April the children were invited to participate in a sponsored Fun Run and BBQ, organised by Friends of St Lawrence School (FOSLS). The challenge was for the children to run/skip/walk a total of 600km in 60 minutes. The course started on the footpath leading to the round house and finished in the riverside field. FOSLS are an active committee of parents and staff of the school whose aim is to provide the extras; that might not otherwise be available. The funds raised from this event will go towards the development of outdoor areas including an outdoor classroom. Our thanks to FOSLS for organising this event.
The Roving Book Store was in school on 28th March. It was lovely to see so many excited pupils buying new books to read at home. Thank you for all your support in this event, it raised £173.81 for us to spend on books for our school library.
On Red Nose Day the children come to school in non-school uniform with an optional donation for Children in Need. £238 was raised. Thank you all who supported.

Thank you to everyone who supported it.
As part of the development of the Reception Class Outside Area, we would like to purchase a playhouse for the children. Having this playhouse will develop their Communication and Language Skills, allow children to role play and provide additional learning opportunities for counting and writing/mark making. We have raised £250 from our cake sale and helpful half term sponsorship. Thank you everyone who supported.
Many thanks to all who participated in the St Lawrence Christingle service and collection for The Children's Society. The amount raised from the Christingle collection was £342.64. This goes towards helping vulnerable children and young people, who benefit greatly by knowing that other children care and want to make their lives happier.
